Is there anybody in there?
It's been a long time since I looked on here, Even longer since I posted.
Does anyone still pay any attention to this site?
Does anyone that was once on my friends list still have me in that list?
I may or may not start posting again, so if you wish to remove me because you wish to no longer continue to follow, now is the time.
For the rest, hello. Long time no see/hear/etc.
Give a shout if your out there. Current Mood: good

Regeneration - the Showman
Ok, so i'm confused. Does anyone know when the next Regeneration night is at The Showman? I've heard there's one on 28th March, but is there one at the end of February too?
In fact is it still going, and if so what's the rule for when it's on??
So many questions, so little will left... Current Mood: confused

Something wicked this way comes...The Shake-scene Players
, in association with Amnesty International and the Exeter Arts Council, present their newest work Possession: Macbeth
July 29, 30,& 31st at 6pm with a matinee on the 30th at 3pm. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased at the Phoenix Theatre Box Office or at the door. The play infuses Shakespeare’s Macbeth
with historical accounts of the 1680s Bideford Witch Trials that took place in Exeter, Devon. Possession: Macbeth
recounts the Bideford residents’ accusations of possession and witchcraft, the women’s imprisonment as well as their trial and execution. The narrative is intertwined with Shakespeare’s Macbeth
so that the comparison and haunting connection can be made between Shakespeare’s witches and Exeter’s notorious three, the last to be executed for witchcraft in England. This performance will also investigate the demonization, oppression and killing of powerful, independent women that are ostracised by their communities through the use of historical, fictional, mythical and literary sources.( Read more...Collapse )

Volts Rock Night Weds 2nd Feb
Rock night, free entry, but attendance hasn't been high enough so it needs new people to turn up. The main DJ is pretty good, plays a lot of requests and is quite good at judging crowds.
In an attempt to promote it better, he has also enlisted RocSoc at the University as well, although it's only draxar
who's doing any promotion, and mapp
is helping out DJing.
Last week was fun but quiet. Hopefully this week will be busier, shame to see a night die, especially with free entry into a reasonable venue.
Rocsoc will be having a night at Volts this Wednesday (the 2nd). Entry is free, and there are various drinks offers avaible. It'll be a DJ request night, with a combination of Volts resident DJs and RocSoc student DJs, all playing you your requests and a mix of the best in alternative music.
It seems the immediate threat of closure of the night has now mostly gone, though I'm guessing it's still quite dependent on us getting a good number of people there each night. Remember that there's no door charge, so you can happily come and go as you like, even if you just want to pop down for half an hour, you haven't wasted an entry fee.

Christmas shopping anyone?
Exeter 2nd-Hand Records Fair.
Saturday 4th December, St. Georges' Hall, St. Georges' Market
Doors open at 10am, apparently admission is £1 all day.
If my calculations are correct the vendor who comes on alternate months with all the metal (if you've been before, you'll know who I mean) should be there. 70's-vinyl-punk-bloke ought to be about, as well.
